    Strawberry Banana Smoothie

    Smoothies are one of my favorite meals because they are a delicious vehicle for getting superfoods into your diet, plus you can make so many yummy flavors.

    A Few Smoothie Tips:

    • Anytime you have fruit that is about to go bad, stick it in a baggie in the freezer to make smoothies later.
    • Add a few spoonfuls of coconut oil or nut butter for a more filling smoothie.
    • Avocados are a nice low-sugar alternative bananas
    • You can usually add at least a handful of leafy greens without changing the flavor – a good way to sneak green vegetables!


    Strawberry Avocado Smoothie

    serves 1

    1 cup strawberries, frozen
    1 avocado
    1 cup ice
    2 tablespoons hemp seeds or nut butter
    filtered water, enough to fill just to top of ingredients in the blender
    1/2 teaspoon camu berry powder (for vitamin C and antioxidants)
    1/4 teaspoon spirulina (for protein, anti-oxidants and detox)
    4 drops stevia extract, spoonful of honey OR 1/8 teaspoon green stevia powder
    generous pinch of sea salt

    1. Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth. Add more water as needed. Enjoy!
