    This delicious smoothie is a good way to boost your health during the fall and winter seasons. It’s full of flavor from all the wintry spices, which also give the smoothie its immune-supportive quality. Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger are antimicrobial spices that help keep germs at bay. These spices are also high in antioxidants and essential oils that will aid with tissue repair pain relief and disease prevention.

    This smoothie is perfect for those who have busy and hectic mornings. Some smoothies don’t do well when stored in the fridge, but this one is great for making a batch ahead and keeping in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days until you’re ready to enjoy!

     

    Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

    Serves 1

    Ingredients:
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. canned pumpkin
    1/4 c. coconut cream or milk
    1 banana, frozen
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    5 dashes of ground nutmeg
    5 dashes of ground clove

    Method:
    Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth. Enjoy!
