    Here we are – our retreat group for Charlottesville 2017!

    I’m always surprised at how good of friends we become by the end of just four days. Coming together with the common goal of being happier and healthier always creates magical moments. The same thing always seems to happen at our conferences.

    Stephanie Stierhoff came to visit us on Day 3. She made this dark chocolate mousse, which we paired with my Ginger Spice Cookies (gluten-free, egg-free and dairy-free).

    Here we are prepping lunch one day. On this particular day we had Butternut Squash Soup, Arugula Salad with Creamy Orange Miso Dressing, and Sweet and Crunchy Tuna Salad.

    Deb is petting the donkey at the barn at our retreat house – this one fell in love and wouldn’t let her leave the barnyard one morning!

    North Cove Mushrooms is one of my favorite places to get shiitake and other medicinal mushrooms when I’m in Virginia. They sell at the Charlottesville City Market on Saturdays.

    Here I am at the Charlottesville City Market! It was a cold morning!

    We got our Saunaspace cabana sauna set up on Day 1 and everyone enjoyed the healing near infrared light and heat the rest of the weekend. I love this sauna because I don’t have to always spend an hour getting ready, sweating and cleaning up in order to benefit from it – I can jump in for a few minutes in my clothes just to get warmed up and rejuvenated.

    The breakfast scene. Tracey is holding up her morning smoothie with bee pollen sprinkled on top. We had a variety of breakfast options so everyone could eat what felt best for them, whether they are vegan, paleo, just gluten free or ketogenic.

    Here’s our dinner from on night: Herbal Chicken Soup made with Bone Broth, Curry Lentil Sweet Potato Soup, Beet Pomegranate Salad and Sauerkraut.

    I had a really wonderful experience, yet again. It’s interesting to spend four days straight with a group of people who have the same goals as you. Each retreat is a little different and brings up new challenges and answers for those who come. I’m so glad that I could facilitate so much transformation!
