    Cacao Milkshake

    Cacao Milkshake

    Serves 2

    This milkshake is more like a cold creamy milky shake…. It’s not thick and ice-creamy like milkshakes you get at fast food joints. Although, you can make it like that if you use ice cubes made from canned coconut milk instead of regular water ice cubes, or frozen banana, and add an extra spoonful or two of almond butter  😉 

    Ingredients:

    • 1 can coconut milk, or 1 ⅔ cup of milk of choice
    • 3 Tbs. cacao powder
    • 2 Tbs. almond or other nut/seed butter
    • 1/4 c. cashews (use another tablespoon nut butter if not using a high speed blender)
    • 1 Tbs. hemp seeds
    • ⅛ tsp. Pink salt
    • 15 drops liquid stevia, or 1-2 Tbs. honey
    • Dash of vanilla extract
    • 1 ½ c. ice cubes, more if you want it icy.
    • Add 1 banana, frozen, for a creamier, fruitier consistency (optional)

    Directions:

    1. Add all ingredients into your blender pitcher. Blend on high speed until creamy – about 60-90 seconds if using cashews. Add more sweetener or cacao, to taste. Enjoy immediately, or store in the fridge and shake well before consuming.
