Who is behind the conference?
The Take Back Your Health Conference™ was founded in 2011 by Robin Shirley, who was 21 years old and living with chronic illness at the time. You can read her motivation, and the story of how the TBYH Conference came to be, by clicking here. The conference is operating under the International Health Coach Association LLC, owned and operated by Robin Shirley. The company name will soon change to Take Back Your Health Inc. What does the TBYH Conference offer to parents?
The seminars at our conferences focus on raising a healthy family, reversing symptoms of chronic disease in children and adults – plus getting and staying healthy into middle-age and beyond – so this event is great for young professionals, future parents, parents and grandparents!
How do I become a sponsor or speaker?
We’re excited to hear more about you and/or your company! Please download and review our sponsor packets here – they’ll have all the information you need on becoming a speaker or sponsor.
What should I bring to the conference?
You don’t need to bring too much. There will be good water, tasty food, serious entertainment and great company! But you do want to make sure to bring your photo i.d. for entrance and cash for food and product purchases and for parking. You’ll definitely want to bring an extra sweater and dress in layers if you tend to get cold, a yoga mat if you’re taking a class, and a notepad for taking notes. Also, bring some food or snacks if you have serve allergies.
What should I bring/wear to the yoga classes?
Definitely wear some stretchy pants and a loose top. Bring a mat or a few towels to create a soft padding for your practice. Bring some of those cool yoga props if you have them – like a block and a strap. But if you don’t have those, that’s fine! Just come as you are.
Are kids allowed?
Infants, children and teens 16 years and under are welcome to attend for no charge. However, there will not be any entertainment for the young ones this year. If you do bring children, please be very respectful to the speakers and other attendees and stay outside the lecture hall when the kids need to let out some extra noise and energy. If you bring children into the lecture hall, they must be sitting quietly in a chair next to you or on your lap, etc, and not running around or playing in the room. If they do begin to make noise, please walk with them into the foyer area and check out the exhibits to let out some energy. Thank you for cooperating!
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included in the ticket price. The Beverly Garland hotel restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and will be accommodating some food allergies. Exhibitors will be selling pre-packaged snacks, drinks and lunch throughout the day. Some allergy-friendly meals will be available.
Can I attend the exhibit hall and not the lectures?
In the past we have sold separate the tickets to the exhibit hall, but we are no longer offering this option.
Can I get a one-day pass?
Yes, you sure can! Check out our registration page.
